Our proprietary technology
Our technology enables large-scale, continuous, and fast manufacturing of micro-organisms. The biomass residues from (livestock) farmers or industrial partners serve as the main resource for Zymofix’s production process. The feedstock is converted into a sterile and uniform substrate that supports the growth of beneficial microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts or fungi. The living microbes are formulated into a high-quality finished product, which is commercialized by partners and/or other clients.

At Zymofix, we produce a wide range of high-quality microorganisms in quantities that meet industrial demands – by the ton. To date, we’ve tested a diverse selection of over 70 microbial strains, of which more than 90% could be produced at industrially relevant concentrations. Our services encompass research, joint product development, and full integration within value chains to transform entire sectors.
Our cultivated projects
Since 2022, we’ve been cultivating bilateral collaborations with global agrochemical leaders to drive large-scale impact. In partnership with a farmers’ cooperative, we are integrating our technology into an innovative circular value chain that supports sustainable agriculture. Additionally, the development of our technology is supported by research grants we’ve received from VLAIO, the EIC Accelerator program, and Horizon Europe.
